How This Website Is Tracked

A tracking specialist should be open about their own setup. This page lists every analytics tool on this site, every event it sends and how the scripts load, taken straight from the site's code.

Speed

How the scripts load without slowing the page

Analytics should never cost you page speed.

  1. 1

    Page opens

Small placeholder functions for GA4 and Clarity are ready, so no event is lost while the real scripts wait.

  2. 2

    You interact

The real scripts load on your first scroll, tap, click or key press.

  3. 3

    Or after 3 seconds

If you do nothing, they load 3 seconds after the page has finished loading.

  4. 4

    Events are sent

Queued page views and lead events are sent to GA4 once the script is ready.

FAQ

Questions about this site's tracking

Why does a tracking specialist use such a simple setup?

Because the setup should match the business. This site only needs to know which pages and channels bring enquiries. A store spending on ads needs server-side tracking, the Conversions API and deduplication; a portfolio site does not.

Does this site use server-side tracking?

No. Server-side tracking pays off when ad platforms learn from your conversions. No ad pixels run here, so there is nothing for a server container to improve.

Where can I read about cookies and data?

The cookie policy and privacy policy list every tool, what it stores and how to block it.
