Stape vs Elevar vs Analyzify: Best Shopify Tracking Setup in 2026

Three popular ways to fix Shopify tracking, compared by a tracking specialist: how they work, how they charge and who each one is for.

Quick answer

Stape is server-side GTM hosting with a Shopify app: the most flexible and usually the cheapest to run, but it needs someone who knows GTM. Elevar is a managed Shopify tracking platform priced by monthly orders, with pre-built destinations and monitoring. Analyzify is a Shopify app focused on GA4 and Google Ads data quality, sold as a subscription with expert setup. The right choice depends on your budget, your team and how much control you want.

Key takeaways
  • All three can send Shopify purchases to GA4, Google Ads and Meta more reliably than a basic pixel.
  • Stape gives you a server-side GTM container you fully control; Elevar and Analyzify package the setup for you.
  • Elevar and Analyzify charge by plan and order volume; Stape charges by server requests.
  • Whichever tool you pick, the data layer, deduplication and testing decide the result.
  • Check each vendor's current pricing page before you decide, because plans change often.

Shopify store owners who are tired of missing or doubled purchases usually end up looking at three names: Stape, Elevar and Analyzify. All three promise better data in GA4, Google Ads and Meta, but they work in very different ways. I set up Shopify tracking for stores in the USA, Australia, Kuwait and Bangladesh, and this is how I explain the choice to clients.

The short answer

  • Choose Stape if you want full control, the lowest running cost and a setup that works for any platform, and you have a tracking specialist (or the skills) to build the GTM containers.
  • Choose Elevar if you want a managed Shopify tracking product with pre-built destinations and you are happy to pay a higher monthly fee based on your order volume.
  • Choose Analyzify if your main goal is clean GA4 and Google Ads data on Shopify and you want an app plus expert setup in one subscription.

How each one works

Stape

Stape hosts server-side Google Tag Manager containers. Its Shopify app adds a data layer to your store and can send events to your server container, where you build tags for GA4, Google Ads, Meta Conversions API, TikTok and others. You own the GTM containers, so you can add any destination or custom logic. Stape also adds tracking features like Custom Loader and Cookie Keeper, which I explain in Stape power-ups explained.

Stape bills on its own website by the number of server requests per month, with a free plan of 10,000 requests and paid plans above that. If you are new to it, start with what Stape is and how server-side GTM works.

Elevar

Elevar is a Shopify-focused tracking platform. It installs a data layer, sends events to destinations such as GA4, Google Ads and Meta from its own server, and adds monitoring of your tracking. Plans are priced by monthly orders, and higher plans include more destinations and support. Because the prices have changed during 2026, check Elevar's own pricing page for the current tiers.

Analyzify

Analyzify is a Shopify app focused on GA4, Google Ads and Meta data quality. It is sold as a subscription that includes the app and expert setup by their team. The Shopify App Store listing shows plans from $145 a month, based on monthly orders, and yearly plans with an implementation fee. As with the others, confirm the current price on the App Store listing.

What actually decides your data quality

The tool is only part of the result. In audits, the same problems appear whichever app a store uses:

  1. Old pixels left behind. A theme pixel, a Shopify channel app and a server tool all sending Purchase means the order is counted two or three times. Check your store with the free Tracking Checker to see what loads.
  2. No deduplication. Browser and server events need the same event_id, as explained in Meta CAPI event deduplication.
  3. Missing value or order ID. Without them, Smart Bidding and Meta cannot learn which orders matter.
  4. No testing against real orders. Every setup should be compared with Shopify orders after a week of live traffic.

My recommendation

For most small and mid-sized Shopify stores I work with, Stape plus a well-built server GTM container gives the best balance of cost, control and accuracy. It is also what I use on client projects such as Glitter KW, where the full setup is documented in a sample handover report.

Elevar and Analyzify are good products for stores that prefer a packaged service and have the budget for it. If you already pay for one of them and the numbers still do not match your orders, the problem is usually in the setup, not the tool.

If you are not sure which fits your store, send me your store link and I will tell you what I would use and why. Read more about Shopify server-side tracking or see my Shopify conversion tracking service.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheapest: Stape, Elevar or Analyzify?

For most small and mid-sized stores, Stape is the cheapest to run, because it has a free tier and request-based paid plans. Elevar and Analyzify are higher monthly subscriptions, but they include more done-for-you setup and support. Compare on your own order volume.

Can I use Stape without knowing GTM?

Stape's Shopify app makes the data layer easy, but you still need to build tags in a server GTM container. Many store owners hire a tracking specialist for the initial setup and then only pay Stape's hosting.

Do I still need GTM with Elevar or Analyzify?

Both use or support Google Tag Manager in parts of their setup, but they handle much of the configuration for you. Check their current documentation for how GTM fits into your plan.

Can I switch later?

Yes, but plan it. Remove the old pixels and server events before turning on the new ones, or purchases will be counted twice during the switch.
