How to Give Access to Your Stape Account
Stape hosts the server part of your tracking (the server-side Google Tag Manager container). If the Stape account is in your name, you can share it with me from Account settings using Shared access. I get my own login, and you keep ownership and billing.
analyticsbychamok@gmail.comBefore you start
- Your Stape account login (the account that owns the container)
- Nothing else from me: I already have a Stape account under analyticsbychamok@gmail.com
Why I need this access
- 01 Set up and maintain your server-side GTM container (the server that sends data to GA4, Meta CAPI and others)
- 02 Connect your own tracking subdomain so data is sent first-party and is less affected by ad blockers
- 03 Turn on Stape power-ups and check logs to fix missing or duplicated events
- 04 Keep the container healthy after launch, for example when you change plans or add a new platform
Which role to choose
Shared access to your containers (billing left unticked). Shared access lets me work on your containers from my own Stape login. I do not need to see or change your billing, so leave the billing checkbox unticked unless you want me to manage the subscription.

Click "Share access". I will switch to your workspace from my account and confirm I can see the container.
After you send the invite
- I switch to your shared workspace from my Stape account menu and check the container, domain and logs.
- To remove access later: "Account settings" > "Shared access" and click the remove icon next to my email.
- I can also remove myself from your account (Stape calls this "Retire") if you ask me to.
Stape access: common questions
Is this the same as Google Tag Manager access?
No. Stape hosts the server; the server container's tags are managed in Google Tag Manager. I usually need access to both, and each is shared separately.
Why does sharing fail with my email?
Stape only shares between accounts in the same region (Global with Global, EU with EU). If it fails, tell me which Stape region you use and I will use a matching account.
Will you see my payment details?
Not unless you tick the billing checkbox. Tracking work does not need it.
