How to Give Access to Your Wix Website

On Wix you invite me as a collaborator from Roles & Permissions. I get my own login to your site, so you never share your Wix password. You choose a role that lets me manage settings, Marketing Integrations and Custom Code, and you can remove me at any time.

Before you start

  • The site owner account, or an Admin (Co-Owner) role on the site
  • A Premium plan with a connected domain if we need Custom Code (Wix does not run custom code on free wixsite.com addresses)

Why I need this access

  • 01 Connect Google Tag Manager, GA4 and Meta Pixel through Wix Marketing Integrations
  • 02 Add Custom Code (for example a server-side tracking script or consent settings) where the built-in integrations are not enough
  • 03 Check that store events such as add to cart and purchase are reaching GA4 and Meta correctly
  • 04 Review cookie-consent settings so tracking respects your visitors' choices

Which role to choose

Admin (Co-Owner). Adding tracking code on Wix happens in Settings > Custom Code and Marketing Integrations, and Admin (Co-Owner) is the role that reliably reaches those areas. It still cannot transfer or delete your site; only you as the owner can. If you prefer a smaller role, you can try Website Manager first and switch to Admin only if I cannot see Custom Code.

After you send the invite

  • I accept the invite, open the site dashboard and check that I can reach "Marketing Integrations" and "Custom Code". If not, I will ask you to switch my role to Admin (Co-Owner).
  • To remove access later: "Settings" > "Roles & Permissions", find my name, open the menu next to it and choose remove. Wix does not notify the person, but my access stops immediately.
  • You can also change my role from the same page at any time.
FAQ

Wix access: common questions

Do I need a paid Wix plan?

Usually yes. Wix shows Custom Code and the Google Tag Manager integration on sites with a Premium plan and a connected domain, so a free wixsite.com address may not have these options.

Why not just the Marketing Integrations?

The built-in integrations are a good start, but server-side tracking and some events need a small piece of Custom Code, which needs a broader role.

Will you change my design?

No. Tracking code runs in the background and does not change how your site looks. I do not publish design changes.

Can I see what you changed?

Yes. Custom Code and Marketing Integrations are listed in your Settings, and I will send you a short summary of everything I added.
